Sir John Daniel is a 40-year veteran of the development of open and distance learning. He served for 17 years as a university president in Canada (Laurentian University) and the UK (Open University) before joining UNESCO as Assistant Director-General for Education (2001-04) and serving as President of the Commonwealth of Learning (2004-12). His 400 publications include his books Mega-Universities and Knowledge Media: Technology Strategies for Higher Education and Mega-Schools, Technology and Teachers: Achieving Education for All. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth for services to higher education in 1994 he holds 32 honorary doctorates from universities in 17 countries and was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada in 2013. Sarah Guri-Rosenblit is graduated in Education and dean of Development and Learning Technologies. Prof. Guri-Rosenblit is Vice-President for Academic Affairs at The Open University of Israel and Member of the Future University Network. She has been coordinator and member of important Higher Education international study committees, as Norway, Czech Republic and Spain.
Her main research issues - published in more than 100 works - are distance education system, higher education, teacher and professor education.

Svetlana Karkina, graduated in conservatory and former music teacher, is Deputy Dean for educational activities at Kazan Federal University. Prof. Karkina is head of advanced training programs with online app for school teachers implemented with grant support of the Ministry of education of the Tatarstan Republic (2016) and coordinator of project of music teacher professional training program in online format based on LMS Moodle (2018).
Her main research issues - published in more than 70 papers, also indexed in Scopus and Web of Science - are pedagogy, design of active learning environment, online education.
